So not every celebrity gets the red carpet treatment wherever they go -- including Shia LaBeouf. The actor was escorted out of the LA opening of a nightclub called The Box by security Friday night after having a confrontation with a friend of Marilyn Manson. A source claims that LaBeouf “exchanged terse words with a friend of Manson’s, who lunged over the table at Shia, and Shia lunged back. Security stepped in quickly and broke it up before any punches were thrown." The insider also observed that “Two security guards led Shia out holding his hands behind his head. His girlfriend, Karolyn Pho, was clearly upset and ran down the stairs after them. Outside, he fell onto a barricade. Swearing, he picked himself up and ran off.”
First of all, is anyone really that surprised that someone wanted to take a swing at Shia? The guy is completely arrogant, so you can't really blame Manson's friend for trying to wipe that smug smile off his bearded face. Second, this is the saddest fight I've ever heard of. It was broken up before any punches were thrown? Does it even qualify as a fight? I've seen more exciting "fights" back in middle school. And third, is anyone else surprised that Shia and Marilyn are such good friends that they hang out in nightclubs together? Shia's rep (of course) denies that any of this drama even went down, stating “[He] actually left the club early as planned ... he went to see one of the bands performing in the showcase and left after they finished ... exiting through a crowded room was apparently misinterpreted. No altercation occurred.” Right, there were numerous witnesses that are claiming otherwise, but sure -- we'll play dumb and believe you.
