Summer seems to be officially over -- yellow school buses are back to roaming the streets, the smell of fall (and homework) is in the air, but the education system is about to welcome a new celeb into its hallowed halls, fist pumping the whole way. That's right, Jersey Shore's Vinny Guadagnino has enrolled in an improv class at NYC’s Upright Citizens Brigade, a theater and school co-founded by Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler in 1996. Last Tuesday, the reality star tweeted about his return to the classroom, saying, "Day 1 of improv classes was dope, these tools can help with many areas of life." Reports are claiming that he actually missed the first class, so he's off to a great start.
I suppose enrolling in UCB makes sense if Vinny wants to continue a career in the entertainment industry. He'd probably be pretty good at it since reality television is like an improv class unto itself: you have to think on your feet, keep people interested, and be willing to do just about anything (pretty much sums up Jersey Shore..well, except the thinking part). Which leads me to a very important question...how did he get into UCB? And I don't seem to be the only one impressed/shocked by this, but perhaps there are some Shore fans working for admissions -- who knows? So Pauly D is off DeeJaying, Snooki and JWoww are getting ready for their new show, Mike "The Situation" is busy wearing Abercrombie & Fitch, and now Vinny is off to school. If it doesn't work out, he could always get some tips from Snooki about being a news anchor.
