Christina Hendricks appears as Allison, a friend and fellow working mom of Sarah Jessica Parker's Kate Reddy in the new movie, I Don't Know How She Does It. Together, the two of them stress out about making time for their kids when they're at work and making time for their work when they're with their kids. It's quite a stressful position to be in, and it just may have played a part in helping Hendricks realize that she wants to wait a little bit longer before she and her husband of two years (Geoffrey Arend) have kids. At the movie's premiere in NYC, Hendricks told People, "We've been doing a lot of traveling and different jobs and going back and forth. I don't freak myself out if something doesn't happen." She continued engaging the reporter on the subject and clarified that she and her husband had absolutely on plans to have a baby, and then added, "I feel busy enough right now." But while IDKHSKI certainly does a great job of depicting how hard it it is to be a working mother, it also successfully conveys that it's a completely rewarding experience as well...so maybe Hendricks should see her own movie before she really decides on what her future holds.
