Lindsay Lohan has been offered a job. No, not in acting (of course), but in modeling. The actress has just signed on to be the face of designer Philipp Plein’s Spring 2012 collection and will be in Milan for the runway show this weekend. Lindsay will be following in Mischa Barton's footsteps, who was named the face of the brand last year.
While I think it's great that Lindsay's actually been offered some form of employment, it should also be noted that she is neglecting her court ordered community service in the process. She's been seen attending New York Fashion Week events and now she's getting ready to jet off to Milan for "work," but she has prior obligations that should be made her first priority. If you remember, the Hollywood star was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service due to her misdemeanor theft case, but reports are claiming that she is nowhere near fulfilling her quota. A source has stated that, "Lindsay has completed about 60 hours at the Downtown Women's Center. Lindsay hasn't done any time at the morgue." The insider adds that, "Lindsay's team is telling her she needs to log significant time to show the judge that she is working towards completing her hours, but she is ignoring them. Lindsay's rationale is that she has a year to complete the service, so she isn't concerned about it right now.”
Lohan is scheduled to appear in court on October 17th for a progress report hearing and the judge, Stephanie Sautner, has already warned her that she will not accept any excuses if the community service is not completed on time. The star's publicist, Steve Honig, defends his client, stating, "Lindsay has been working very closely with her advisors to balance the demands of making a living while at the same time fulfilling her court-mandated obligations." Indeed, this girl is the epitome of responsible. But she better start racking up those community service hours or the court may make her go back to being under house arrest in her fancy home in Venice, Calif. Talk about an incentive to get her act together.
