Hugh Jackman is what is known as the mythical "triple threat" in the entertainment industry: he can act, he can dance, and he can sing. Possessing all three of these coveted skills is a very rare feat indeed, but Jackman seems to accomplish them all with ease. But even though he's actor, he never limits himself and has dabbled in several musical theater projects throughout the years. In fact, he's looking to make an appearance in Glee, the most popular musical show on television. The show is no stranger to celebrity cameos and have had Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Newton John, and even Britney Spears on as guest performers. Clearly this would be a match made in heaven, but the actor has yet to be invited onto the set. Jackman commented, "I haven't been asked... I think I would (like to be on the show) if it was the right role. That would be fun." We agree he would be a huge talent...not to mention easy on the eyes.
Throughout his career, Jackman has uniquely balanced a theatre and movie career that has made him a Broadway superstar as well as a big screen movie actor. We're all familiar with his famous movie role of the brooding mutant Wolverine in the X-Men series, but you may not be aware of his outstanding contributions to the theatre arts as well. His Broadway debut was in the production The Boy From Oz, for which he received the 2004 Tony Award for Best Actor in a musical as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards. And then let's not forget that he did a spectacular job at hosting the Oscars in 2009 with an impressive opening number. He also served as host for the Tony Awards for three years (from 2003-2005). Basically, he's just all-around awesome and has totally earned a right to appear on Glee. They'd be lucky to have him, so let's make this happen (I'm looking at you Ryan Murphy)!
