The Hollywood baby boom continues as Ne-Yo (real name: Shaffer Chimere Smith) celebrates the birth of his newborn son, Mason Evan Smith. The R&B superstar and his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw welcomed their little bundle of joy into the world on Monday and it sounds like they couldn't be happier with their newest addition. The singer even decided to take a leaf out of the Ways To Announce Your Celebrity Baby handbook by broadcasting the child's name via Twitter (because all the cool people are doing it). The proud papa tweeted, "If you are truly fam, you'll help me welcome the heir to my throne, born Oct. 9th at 6 pounds, 10 ounces! Mason Evan Smith!" Like the name, love the PR stunt.
But this isn't Ne-Yo's induction into fatherhood. The 31-year-old first became a dad in November of 2010, when Shaw gave birth to their daughter Madilyn Grace (also a cute name). Like her baby brother, Madilyn received the royal Twitter treatment from her proud papa when he excitedly tweeted, "She's healthy and happy. Feels like I'm in luv for the first time." Congratulations to the happy parents on their latest addition! We will await your upcoming baby pic with great anticipation (even though all these babies are starting to look alike).
