Dina Lohan Is Writing Lindsay's Memoir

Because Lindsay Lohan needs another thing to worry about other than jail time, her father who maintains she's continually smoking crystal meth, and getting to the morgue on time, her mother Dina has decided to write a memoir about her problems with drugs and alcohol. Page Six reports Dina is already shopping the already written prologue to numerous publishing houses and maintaining it is basically a guaranteed "best seller."

TMZ obtained a portion of the prologue, and it proves Dina really wasn't kidding about her memoir's gem-like quality. She writes, "I blamed [Lindsay's] friends, her career, and her handlers for an [sic] newfound lifestyle of partying excessively. Drinking, drugging, and behaving irresponsibly became Lindsay's way of daily living -- and it tore me up inside." Dina continues, "How could I deny my daughter the chance of a lifetime? How could I hold Lindsay back from her dream of becoming an actress? So, I listened to others and sent my daughter to Hollywood with a few pieces of luggage and a chaperone."

Since Lindsay doesn't seem to have issued Dina some kind of injunction to stop her mother from writing such a potentially harming piece of literature, it probably means she actually wants her mother to write it. In fact, chances are Lindsay has already worked out with her mother some kind of arrangement where she will be portrayed as a victim in the text, and as someone whose bad behavior was the result of the temptations of Los Angeles. In other words, as long as Dina (and the inevitable ghostwriter) conclude the book with an update about how Lindsay truly plans to act better and fulfill all of her requirements regarding her parole, they can reveal just about any sordid and unfavorable detail about her past they want. And it's not really such a bad plan, truthfully. (It is for the copywriter, though.)
