Kim Kardashian recently told People magazine that her living situation with Kris Humphries in New York City was "not ideal" because it lacked privacy. But there were a few other challenges. Not only did she have to adjust to living with her new husband, but she also had to share living space with her sister Kourtney, her sister's boyfriend Scott Disick, and their son Mason while filming the second season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Evidently it was a huge source of stress for Kim, which she continued to explain, saying, "It's not ideal because you're newlyweds and you want privacy." But when has she ever cared about privacy? Now I'm really confused because I wasn't even aware the Kardashians had the word "privacy" in their vocabulary. What's going on in the world? The sky is still blue, right?
It's times like this that make me realize how celebrities have skewed views on what living in New York City is like. I've been living in the city for almost two years now and I can guarantee that the place I shared with 3 other roommates isn't even half the size of where Kim was living. The Kardashians usually spare no expense so I'm sure Kim had her own room and probably her own bathroom (two things that I've never had), so it's really hard to feel that sympathetic about any of this.
But Kim/Kris fans should have no fear, because there doesn't seem to be be any trouble in newlywed paradise. Kris Jenner claims that even though the two of them are going "two separate directions [with work]," she's confident that "they'll figure it out as soon as they get back [to L.A.]." Well if Mama Jenner says it then you know it has to be true (or a well placed PR stunt).
