No one can deny that Lindsay Lohan needs some serious help when it comes to drinking, drugs, and basically making any kind of life decision in general. So now she's finally reaching out and getting the mentoring she needs by the one and only -- Courtney Love. The singer revealed in the latest issue of Details magazine that she's taken over as the starlet's sobriety coach "because nobody else will." And although this feels a little bit like the blind leading the blind, Love is confident she can knock some sense into Lindsay since she knows what the actress is going through.
But Love admitted to the magazine that the Mean Girls star is "further down the line" than she ever was, and acknowledges how the extreme scrutiny Lindsay is under probably makes it harder for her to begin the process of recovery. But like any good teacher, Love plans to use her past mistakes to help improve her student's future and even recalled a time when she offered Lindsay some words of advice. She said, "I went up to Lindsay's room one time and there was a show on called 101 Celebrity Oops and I am like every other one, you know - boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s**t at Madonna, you know, whatever. I'm like 'Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!'" So Lesson #1: drugs are bad...got it. I guess this is more of a do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do type of coaching technique. Yes, it's comforting to know Lindsay is in such good (and smart) hands.
