HOLLYWOOD
- Actor
Bill Murray
crashed a student house party in Scotland--but helped with the clearing up afterwards.
The
Lost in Translation
star accepted an invitation to the party after meeting Norwegian student Lykke Stavnef at a bar in St. Andrews earlier this month. The small Scottish city, which is famous for its world-class golf course, was hosting
Murray
as part of a celebrity golf tournament.
Stavnef says, "Nobody could believe it when I arrived at the party with
Bill Murray
. We met him in the bar and he made some jokes. He was just like the character in
Lost in Translation
.
"It was really funny because he was pretty old compared with all the other people there, but he was so relaxed and it was really amusing when he started to wash up.
Another reveler adds, "He couldn't fail to have a good time. The party was overflowing with stunning Scandinavian blondes. He seemed to be in his element, cracking lots of jokes. It was the talk of the town the next day.”
Murray
was taking part in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Other stars in attendance included
Michael Douglas
,
Dennis Hopper
and
Hugh Grant
.
