Sneak Peek: Take a Wild Ride with Five 'The Adventures of Tintin' Clips

Dec 19, 2011 | 12:53pm EST

The Adventures of Tintin comes out this Friday, and we've compiled a collection of clips in celebration of Steven Spielberg's adaptation of the Belgian comic book by artist Georges Remi. Tintin stars Jamie Bell as the title character, a sprightly young reporter investigating a story surrounding a sunken ship called the Unicorn. Joining Tintin is his loyal dog Snowy and the wily Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis), who are all in for much more of an adventure than they bargained for.

Tintin approaches Captain Haddock in hopes of hearing his family secret about the Unicorn. But Haddock cannot help least not yet.

Tintin is going to need some help if he wants to crack this code. Unfortunately, the sort of help he has at his disposal isn't exactly...helpful. Detectives Thompson (Simon Pegg) and Thomson (Nick Frost) are well-meaning, but not exactly focused.

Every adventurer needs a faithful canine companion who can outsmart thuggish henchmen. And Tintin has just that in his fox terrier Snowy. Snowy isn't deterred by a locked door when his pal is in trouble: he defies all odds and chases down the fiends at hand.

Tintin is in for some trouble when he is interrogated by a vicious Ivanovich Sakharine (Daniel Craig), who is after a mysterious poem with which Tintin has come into contact. Of course, Tintin isn't willing to give up this prized information that easily...

Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy are easing along the waters in a lifeboat. But problems surface when a nearby vessel decides to attack the heroes' boat...Haddock is quick to drop his air of bravado in the face of this sort of danger.

The Adventures of Tintin comes to theaters this Friday, Dec. 23.
