First we heard about Octavia Spencer booking a role in the sci-fi movie Snow Piercer; then Jessica Chastain signed up for the Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby double feature. And now Viola Davis has one-upped 'em both, landing roles in two big upcoming movies. Not a bad day for the ladies of The Help!
The Best Actress nominee will star as the lead in Beautiful Creatures, a dramatic book-to-movie adaptation from the director of P.S. I Love You, and she'll join the formidable cast -- including Harrison Ford and various young 'it' actors -- of Ender's Game, another book-to-movie adaptation, set 70 years in the future ... in space.
Davis will next be seen in the drama Won't Back Down, due this September.
