In the emo sci-fi thriller Chronicle, Alex Russell, Michael B. Jordan, and Dane DeHaan play three average teens who come to possess supernatural abilities, the perils of which they don’t begin to comprehend until matters go terribly awry. The film, the feature debut of director Josh Trank, has garnered massive amounts of buzz, and even managed to win over critics with its novel take on the superhero origin story.
