The Expendables 2 has Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger cast alongside genre greats like Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. But another developing Stallone/Schwarzenegger pic is beginning to fill out its cast with some pretty impressive figures as well. The Tomb, which stars Stallone as an expert on all things incarceration-related, has cast Passion of the Christ and Person of Interest star Jim Caviezel as its central villain.
Stallone’s prison mogul Ray Breslin will find himself trapped inside the world’s foremost piece of maximum-security imprisonment—which he designed himself. Caviezel is taking the role of the warden of said prison who is charged with making sure that the wrongfully incarcerated Breslin does not escape. We can predict that Caviezel’s antagonistic character will probably be a little more John Reese than Jesus. Mikael Håfström (Shanghai, 1408) is directing.
Does Caviezel have what it takes to take on two of the movie world's biggest heroes?
