Olivia Wilde and SNL funnyman Jason Sudeikis have only recently started dating and they're already poised to test their incipient relationship with a big-screen collaboration. Deadline reports that the two have signed on for Relanxious, a rom-com from writer/director Christopher Storer in which they'll play neurotics who fall in love but are kept apart by their respective phobias: George (Sudeikis) is an agoraphobic, while Barrett (Wilde) is crippled by anxiety. Their relationship develops during fantasy dates they describe to each other on the phone, but soon they must decide whether to brave the ever-perilous outside world and attempt to consummate it.
21 Jump Street's Brie Larsen and Sudeikis' SNL pal Fred Armisen are attached to play the couples' requisite confidantes, according to Deadline. Relanxious marks the directorial debut of Storer, who wrote the as-yet-unreleased comedy Sin Bin. The film is expected to begin shooting this summer in Chicago.
So what do you think? Can Wilde and Sudeikis survive the hazardous commingling of love and work that has claimed so many happy Hollywood couples before them?
