'American Pie' and the Movies That Ruined Our Favorite Foods

american reunion"Like warm apple pie." Those are the exact words that come to mind each time an apple pie is even mentioned in my presence, and it's all thanks to the American Pie movie franchise. Now, as a child of the '90s, I'm morally obligated to love this movie. And I do. But it has completely ruined that Thanksgiving dessert option for me from now until the end of time (thanks, Jim). However, this isn't the only food item to fall prey to a film's gross punchline. Check out the list below and see if any of these movies have made you abstain from your favorite foods.

Pizza in She's All That

Maybe you were lucky enough to erase the whole pubic-hair-pizza-topping Chuck Owen's character was forced to "hover" in She's All That, but I certainly wasn't (my apologies for the reminder). Don't get me wrong, that guy deserved what he got for all the bullying, but to this day it's still physically painful to watch.

Fondue in Meet the Fockers

Family gatherings are always a stressful affair for poor Gaylord Focker, but when his foreskin landed in the fondue dinner in Meet the Fockers, you can't help but feel a little queasy. Not exactly the type of family bonding one would usually hope for.

"Chocolate Covered Pretzels" in Mallrats

There's nothing worse than when you think you're about to eat chocolate and actually end up eating...well...something else entirely. Poor Svenning really got the sh**ty end of the stick on this film.

Chocolate Cake in Matilda

Poor Bruce Bogtrotter was only trying to have one little piece of chocolate cake, but instead was forced to eat one of the biggest cakes ever made in front of the entire school. If he wasn't a diabetic before this movie, he sure is now.

Pie in The Help

Revenge never tasted so (not) sweet. For Octavia Spencer, this was her ultimate moment of glory, but for the rest of us it was just gross. Absolutely hilarious, but still really gross (hopefully no one was planning on having pie this Easter Sunday). You have to admire her creativity though for making the best out of such a crappy situation.

Pizza in Spaceballs

Did you seriously think I would create this list and not mention Pizza the Hut? Normally, you wouldn't think it could be possible to look any less appealing that the Star Wars villain Jabba the Hut, but this guy certainly gives him a run for his money. This isn't delivery or Digiorno.
