Michael Douglas Oscar winner Michael Douglas is set to star in Last Vegas, a sort of Hangover for the older generation.

Douglas, who'd been attached to the film for some time but was forced to take a step back after being diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010 (he is now said to be cancer-free), will play a retired womanizer about to marry a girl half his age — but not before throwing a bachelor party in Las Vegas, attended by three other similar-aged buddies. Like The Hangover, the Vegas send-off doesn't exactly go down without a hitch.

The film will help usher in a return to business as usual for Douglas, who also signed up late last year for the title role in the Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra.

Vegas will be written by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure), and is tentatively set to start shooting on location this fall.
