Bradley Cooper is gearing up to star in a movie about a struggling author who suddenly becomes very good at his job. No, I'm not talking about Limitless. Though, it does sound kind of familiar, no? I'm referring to a new film called The Words, where Cooper gains his sudden talent not by a magical pill, but by plagiarism! Did you hear that? That's the sound of a million English teachers all gasping in horror.
In a moment of literary despair, Cooper's character stumbles upon an abandoned manuscript and decides to publish it as his own work. But, there's this crazy little thing called consequences. (He probably should have looked that up, too.) The actual writer of the novel — played by Jeremy Irons and Ben Barnes in flashbacks — finds out what happened and trouble ensues. Dennis Quaid also stars in the film, playing a best-selling writer whose own fiction flirts with truth as well. In fact, he might even be writing about Cooper's character based on what the trailer seems to hint at. Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde also appear in the film.
Who knew writing could be so gripping? (See Ma, I told you so). Check out the trailer below and see if you can find the words to describe your feelings about it. Sound off on your thoughts about the film below!
