Director Steven Spielberg's new movie Munich is the odds-on favorite to scoop the Best Picture Oscar at next year's ceremony—three weeks before it is released in the U.S.

The movie, which will debut Dec. 23, has become betting site's 5-2 favorite to scoop the coveted honor when the Academy Awards take place in Hollywood on March 5.

Almost 15 percent of all money wagered on the site has been on Munich. Other films popular with gamblers include Walk the Line, Cinderella Man and Brokeback Mountain.

George Clooney movies Syriana and Good Night, and Good Luck are enjoying odds of 8-1 and 15-1, respectively, while Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds languishes at the bottom with odds of 750-1.
