Scott Wheatley claims he was badly burned on 60 percent of his body while he was clearing up a stunt blast after a test on the film's set at the Agua Dulce Movie Ranch in California last June.
Wheatley and his wife Mary are each seeking $15 million from the Office of the State Fire Marshall and the city and county councils for suffering, lost wages, emotional distress and other damages.
Wheatley was standing near a vehicle that blew up on the set while it was being detonated and had to be taken to hospital.
