The actor/director's latest accolade was announced by James Caan at a press conference this morning.
It will be Beatty's sixth Globe. He has been nominated 12 times as an actor, director and screenwriter.
The honor will be presented to Beatty on Jan. 15. All other nominations will be announced on Dec. 14.
