Back when we first let Jake Gyllenhaal into our lives, he was a young man with dreams of building rockets and dark premonitions of rabbit monsters. But he's gotten over all of that hullabaloo — and endured a few natural disasters and heartrending romances along the way — to take on the challenge of law enforcement. Gyllenhaal stars opposite Michael Peña in the upcoming action-thriller End of Watch.
The film, written and directed by genre strongman David Ayer (Training Day) sets the actors as a pair of Los Angeles police officers targeted by a local cartel after a run-in with one of its members.
The video below showcases the action and adventure that will follow Gyllenhaal and Peña through End of Watch, which debuts at the Toronto International Film Festival and reaches theaters on Sept. 21.
