Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy to Play Two Spocks in New 'Star Trek' Movie

Heroes actor Zachary Quinto has been unveiled as the new Mr. Spock in the forthcoming Star Trek prequel--and he'll star alongside the original, Leonard Nimoy.

The announcement was made at San Diego's Comic-Con, where Quinto appeared onstage with J.J. Abrams, who will direct the new movie, which will chart the early years of the USS Enterprise's crew.

The pair then welcomed Nimoy--a surprise guest--and revealed he will also appear in the movie.

When asked why he agreed to reprise his most famous role--Nimoy joked with the crowd, using one of the Vulcan's catchphrases: "People keep asking me why I'm doing this movie. The answer is, well, it was logical."
