The King of Pop's promoters AEG Live have reportedly been in discussions with a number of Hollywood studios to make a feature-length video based on the weeks leading up to his death on June 25.
It's thought that the company owns over 80 hours of Jackson footage, shot as he prepared for his 50-date sellout This Is It concerts at London's O2 Arena.
AEG heads are hoping to strike a deal in a bid to get back some of the $30 million they spent setting up the comeback shows.
Sony Pictures is expected to offer in excess of $50 million to win the rights to the tapes.
The film will feature at least three videos that were due to be shown during the London shows, including a 3-D version of "Thriller."
