The pair starred in the 2008 superhero movie, which Smith also produced, and it went on to net more than $600 million at the worldwide box office.
Theron sparked rumors of a sequel last year when she said she'd happily return to her role if the Men In Black star did too: "Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride!"
And the director has now confirmed that the superstars have agreed to appear in a second Hancock film.
Peter Berg tells MTV, "Everybody's going to come back for the sequel."
