After months of speculation about who would pair up with Daniel Craig on his third mission as legendary secret agent James Bond, the word is finally in on which lucky lady will join the ranks of Honor Blackman, Ursula Andress and Diana Rigg.
According to Yahoo UK, Frieda Pinto will star in the Sam Mendes directed Bond 23 (the film has yet to be given an official title). Though no official word has come from MGM (who currently possesses the rights to the anticipated sequel) or anybody for that matter, we expect confirmation to be coming shortly. Peter Morgan has penned the first draft of the script and it promises to be visually stunning.
A source said: "Sam has been talking about Bond for months now and is so excited about it. The project has been in the pipeline for months and Freida was always the dream Bond girl, but initially she was nervous about accepting it. This is going to be the most ambitious 007 yet. Sam plans to reinvent the genre." Tall order, but with the caliber of talent involved, not to mention the brilliance that producer's Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have demonstrated in reinventing the franchise thus far, we think that the sky is the limit for Mr. Bond.
