Deadline reports that Taylor Lautner, who has been signing on to as many projects as he can before his lucrative Twilight checks stop coming in, has finally landed a director for his Lionsgate based vehicle Abduction, which will serve as his next film before returning to Forks, Washington for the remaining films in the popular vampire romance saga that has made him a household name.
John Singleton will direct the Shawn Christensen scripted thriller about a youth who discovers the parents who raised him aren't his real folks, a revelation that triggers events and leaves him running for his life. Production will begin July in Pittsburgh.
Lautner also has two developing action projects in the pipeline including the Universal based, Imagine Entertainment produced Stretch Armstrong and Cancun, which will see the 18 year old flexing across Mexico in an attempt to rescue his vacationing friends from a Central American drug cartel.
