Margin Call, the indie corporate thriller with a star-packed ensemble cast, has just added another A-lister: Demi Moore will play the chief risk management officer in the film, which follows 'the desperate maneuverings of eight people in a 24 hour period during the early stages of the Wall Street financial crisis.'
Moore joins Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Simon Baker, Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley, and Stanley Tucci in Margin Call, with a script from newcomer J.C. Chandor, who will also direct. Principal photography on the film begins today.
I've got high hopes for this film: you don't assemble a cast with the likes of Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey and the vastly underrated Oscar-nominated Stanley Tucci without an absolutely top-notch script. While Chandor's only other directing credit is for a 2004 short (Despacito) featuring Will Arnett, Margin Call's talented ensemble represents a huge vote of confidence for the novice filmmaker.
