I guess in order to make an ensemble movie you have to have an ensemble, which entails amassing a large and eclectic cast (this, we so rightly predicted). The two latest names that became attached to New Year’s Eve, Garry Marshall's sequel to his February hit Valentine’s Day, are Sofia Vergara and Jessica Biel (who appeared in the original rom-com). Though technically still in negotiations for the film, Biel’s potential role has been revealed. She will play a pregnant woman trying to earn a prize for having the first baby born on New Years. No word on Vergara’s part, though one would imagine she'll play sexy and exotic Latina. But that’s just our guess.
They join Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank and Ashton Kutcher as people who like money and are currently negotiating for parts in the film. Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin are the only two who have officially signed on. Yay.
