Sony Pictures Animation just figured out a way to get out of the whole paying your dues until you make it ordeal. Since its creation in 2009, the studio has only produced a few films, bringing us culinary weather in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and soon (hopefully) making us chuckle with 2011’s The Smurfs. Now they’re gearing up to quickly jump up to the animation big leagues. David Reynolds, the man who penned big hits for Pixar with Finding Nemo, has been snatched up by the budding animation studio for their upcoming, yet still untitled project. Reynolds got an Oscar nod for Nemo and is also responsible for the Disney/Pixar classic A Bug’s Life . Wow, I just named two of my all-time favorite Disney movies. Sony Pictures Animation may be new to the game, but they ain’t no dummies.
