Where to go with this one? Phillip Noyce says he will not be directing the Salt sequel, even though Sony has not officially announced one. I guess he just wanted to get it out there that he really doesn’t want to return to the story (it might even have something to do with the 3 alternate endings he filmed which you can find on the Blu-ray or that he's lined up other projects). But how should I deliver this? Do I go with “Oh, I guess he’s wanting something a little sweet because he’s had enough Salt.” Bah, too easy. What about if I turn it on his diet? “I guess his doctor ordered him to have a low sodium intake because he is refusing more Salt!” Eh, that’s a stretch. I guess I’ll just swallow my pride and admit that I have nothing, though at least I didn’t stoop so far as to pun up his name. I’m Noyce like that. Wait a min..., ah shit.
