British cutie Nicholas Hoult is going places quickly. You may know him as the boy from About a Boy or the lead in the original, UK version of Skins or from his starring role in last year's A Single Man. Just as quickly as he sprouted from a scrawny boy actor to a handsome young man, as if overnight, Hoult has become a person of interest in the Hollywood casting game. He's got X-Men: First Class coming up and now he's been offered the lead in Jack the Giant Slayer.
He'll reteam with Bryan Singer who produced X-Men for this film which is a more serious take on the typically light-hearted tale of Jack and The Beanstalk and already has Stanley Tucci attached as the villain. Hoult has been the first choice for the role of Jack after a long testing process, so it's likely that we'll see him climbing the bean stalk in the future. The budding star is also set for a Mad Max prequel alongside Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. It seems like a pretty cool thing to be this kid right about now.
