I guess the folks at 20th Century Fox wanted to hold off until Natalie Portman’s Oscar was official (so they could put it on the Blu-ray/DVD box, DUH) to announce that the highly acclaimed psychological thriller, Black Swan, is pirouetting it’s way to Blu-ray on March 29. Darren Aronokfsy’s exhilarating masterpiece isn’t the easiest film to watch, but it’s one of the best examples of film from 2010 so it’s well worth the attention. The film also stars Vincent Cassell and Mila Kunis (a fact I’m sure no one forgot).
The special features are packed with behind the scenes looks at the film including a featurette called Metamorphosis: A Three-Part Series and a vignette that takes you through the ten years it took for Aronofsky get to his passion project off the ground. Part of the mystique of the film is the incredible process behind it, and it seems like the Blu-ray will offer enough footage to quell anyone’s curiosity about how this incredible film came together.
