Add Julianne Moore to the growing cast of Paul Weitz' Another Bullshit Night In Suck City, which just hired Olivia Thirlby to work opposite Paul Dano and Robert De Niro yesterday. Deadline notes that her part in small, but she'll no doubt nail the performance as she always does.
Focus Features, the distributor that carried Moore's recent Oscar nominated film The Kids Are All Right, is behind the adaptation of Nick Flynn's memoir that Weitz also wrote and will co-produce with Michael Costigan. The story centers on a young man who works at various homeless shelters in Boston and often intersects with his brilliant but troubled father.
Production is set to begin soon for a 2012 release. I'm just hoping that, given the setting of the film, Moore will get to utilize the Boston accent she unveiled on NBC's 30 Rock.
