After the first teaser trailer for Fox's X-Men: First Class launched I was totally on board with the mutant prequel. Then a series of less-than-stellar images hit the web (in addition to some of the worst posters ever created for a movie) and my confidence in the project had cracked. Now, Filmonic has posted a Russian trailer for the film and my faith is somewhat restored.
Why? Because there's some new footage in this one, including a look at early designs of the Blackbird, a first look at Banshee in action and what could be a climactic standoff between Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr. The score is epic and, to be honest, I kinda like not knowing what the characters are saying because in this day and age trailers spoil most everything about a movie. I'm looking forward to being surprised and if I had my way I'd watch all the new trailers in a foreign language to preserve the effect of seeing the film for the first time.
If you don't believe me, check out the trailer below and make sure to catch X-Men: First Class in theaters on June 3rd.
