The Transformers franchise's third installment hits theaters next month (which still looks surprisingly good), and Shia LaBeouf tells MTV that after that he's done with the series. Moreover, he said that Michael Bay is probably finished as well.
"I'm not coming back to do another one," he said. "I don't think Mike will either. It still is a hot property, I think, especially coming out of the third one. So, I imagine they'll reboot it at some point with someone else."
But LaBeouf isn't trying to burn any bridges with his exit. The actor not only called Dark of the Moon the series' best film, but also admitted it would be strange to see someone else take over the franchise, but he'd support it.
"I'll enjoy it. I'll go opening night. I'll be there. But there is a disconnect. It's mine, dude," he joked. "It's mine."
Anyway, we're actually pretty excited for Dark of the Moon. Check out the trailer below and see why (hint: there's actually some type of story. Yeah, we were shocked too).
