ALTBradley Cooper might seem the most obvious beneficiary of Limitless' success -- but the film's director, Neil Burger, is actually almost as in-demand as its star, and his schedule just got even busier.

Burger has signed on to direct an updated version of the classic (true) story of Bonnie and Clyde, just a few weeks after news of his attachment to direct a big-screen iteration of the video game Uncharted.

The filmmaker, who also helmed the highly regarded 2006 mystery The Illusionist, will be joined by Up in the Air co-writer Sheldon Turner in adapting author Jeff Guinn's book Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

The new version is said to focus more on the not-so-glamorous truths of the famed Depression-era outlaws, a noted departure from the beloved 1967 movie starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as the titular criminals.
