Summit Entertainment's remake of the 1986 cult classic Highlander was dealt a blow this week when Justin Lin revealed that he's no longer attached to direct. THR reports that the Fast Five helmer, who first signed on to the project in September 2009, wants to focus on preparing Fast & Furious 6 (or Fast Six; whatever) and developing a new Terminator film. Summit, which is keen on moving forward with Highlander as soon as possible, will commence the search for a new director forthwith. Lin has agreed to stay on as executive producer.
