Liv TylerShe's crossed Middle Earth, lost her father to a falling asteroid and fought off some unwelcome strangers (all with hulking credibility)... but to me, Liv Tyler will always be a naive employee at a record store that was the embodiment of the 1990s. However, she seems to be sticking to her more recent horror and fantasy fixation: word has it, she may be joining The Cure. Although it sounds like a rock and roll biopic more reminiscent of Empire Records and That Thing You Do!, director Dennis Iliadis' film is actually a brutal tale of a civilized married woman who's turned into a bloodthirsty savage.

Dominic Cooper will play the male lead, a man determined to find his wife a cure for her fatal disease. Unfortunately, his dedication to this cause leads him to desperation: he trusts a strange, unorthodox doctor whose 'cure' transforms Tyler into an animal.

Although Tyler has been noteworthy for the better part of two decades, Cooper has been finding his place, playing primarily supporting roles since the early 2000s. However, Cooper's role of Howard Stark (Iron Man's father) in Captain America: The First Avenger afforded the actor exposure to larger audiences. Furthermore, he took the leading role in the recent biopic film, The Devil's Double.

Scheduling for The Cure is ambiguous at this point. Although a script is said to be complete, director Dennis Iliadis is involved in several projects, so it's anyone's guess as to when we'll see Tyler and Cooper undergo this treatment-gone-wrong.
