George ClooneySomeday, the world is going to figure out just what it is that you're up to, George Clooney. Be ready. No one can hide forever.

Another piece of the Clooney puzzle goes astray as reports have it that the star is dropping out of Steven Soderbergh's adaptation of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Clooney was cast as the lead in the film, based on the '60s spy series starring Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo, an easygoing American spy working for the international espionage league known as U.N.C.L.E.. Such was the role Clooney would have taken on, were he still involved. And not off plotting... something...

Despite the star's withdrawal, however, Warner Bros. does not intend to push back production. The schedule has filming to begin in February of 2012. So the hunt is on for a new laid-back superspy who can charm the world, all the while undermining its governments.

Clooney has had a longstanding relationship with filmmaker Steven Soderbergh. The two worked on the Ocean's films together, as well as Out of Sight. Could Soderbergh be in on Clooney's inevitable world domination ploy? Has a rift been devised between the two to result in a gargantuan revenge epic between past companions? Was it just a scheduling problem?

Clooney, we'll just never know with you, will we?
