HOLLYWOOD - Troubled pop superstar Britney Spears gave a rare radio interview on Wednesday morning--and disappeared to take a shower midway through the eight-minute chat.
Spears was woken up by her assistant and cousin Alli Sims just after 9 a.m. to talk to Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest.
After answering a few questions about her new album Blackout and briefly discussing her ongoing child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Spears passed the phone to Sims.
Moments later, Sims revealed Spears was in the next room taking a shower.
However, before her unexpected exit, Spears did dismiss reports she's dating football star Tony Romo.
When asked by Seacrest about speculation she's romantically involved with the athlete, Spears replied, "Who?"
Sims added, "He's been one of my good friends for over a year. (They're) just friends."
