Neil Patrick Harris has issued an apology after using the word "tranny" as a guest host on Live! With Kelly this week.
On Thursday's show, Harris -- filling in temporarily for the recently departed Regis Philbin -- remarked, "I've never sounded more like a tranny in my life" at the end of a voice-altering bit with host Kelly Ripa.
On Friday the How I Met Your Mother star tweeted: “Truly sorry for saying the word ‘tranny’ on Live this week. Twice! Should have been more thoughtful. Didn’t at all mean to offend.”
