The second round of eliminations on Dancing With the Stars proved to be a very worrisome night for all 11 couples. Only five points separated the top and bottom of the leaderboard, making the average score 25.5. This means it was pretty much a fair game for everyone involved. Even Len, who's usually a stickler for rules, admitted that he wished the show producers would opt to forgo the elimination process this week and let all 11 couples through to the next week. That's how much no one deserved to go home! But alas, Len's wishes were not fulfilled and viewers were forced to say goodbye to Jack Wagner by the night's end.
It's always interesting to see how the votes change from week to week, and Tuesday night proved to be a hard one to predict. The stars who ended up in the bottom three were Gavin DeGraw, Gladys Knight, and Jack Wagner. And while not everyone is as familiar with Wagner, DeGraw and Knight are two of the biggest names among the group, so it was shocking to see them end up with so few votes. It just further proves the point that this season consists of so much talent that even the legendary Queen of Soul can't rely on her fanbase alone to escape the hot seat.
This was DeGraw's second time being in the bottom two despite the fact that his performance had improved greatly from the following week. He better start pulling out all the stops soon and rack up judges' points because popularity doesn't seem to be on his side these days. If he ends up at the bottom again next week, there's a strong chance he'll be forced to hang up his dancing shoes for good.
For the most part though, the voters opinions seemed right on par with the judges' rankings, since all bottom three were part of the five-way-tie at the bottom of the leaderboard — a much more understandable decision than Roshon Fegan's bottom three shocker. But if the same amount of talent keeps up from week to week, the elimination process is going to be that much harder to handle. With an impressive group like this, no one deserves to go home.
