Fans of The Bachelorette might be patiently awaiting the outcome of the present season, which will pair Emily Maynard with one of several potential suitors. However, the world might have gotten a hint as to who the big winner will be. Hollywood.com got a chance to speak to Arie Luyendyk, Jr., professional racecar driver and Bachelorette competitor, who seemed to drop a clue about where the remainder of the ABC reality series will take him. When asked about whether or not Luyendyk would be interested in the central role on The Bachelor, he responded, "Well, my fiancée might not approve of that."
The reality star followed this statement with a quick, "No, I'm just joking," and then went on to tease all the attention given to the mystery about his fate with Maynard, and about his potential future as a potential Bachelor focus: "Basically, it’s hilarious, because I know that’s a hot topic right now. But who knows what happens? If I am engaged to Emily, I don’t think it would be possible for me to become the next Bachelor."
Furthering the theory that he and Maynard are an item, Luyendyk proclaimed that his feelings for Emily are, "Still as strong as they were when I was on the show," adding, "We have a connection that sets us apart from everybody."
When asked if fans of The Bachelorette will be seeing a proposal on the program anytime soon, Luyendyk hardly denied the prospect. He said, "I don’t think that would happen this soon. It’s only week five. Or week six?" Does that mean the tail end of the season will hold some matrimonial surprises? We'll have to tune in to find out.
