Hit TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is under attack from one of Los Angeles' top detectives--because the show is giving criminals tips on how to avoid capture.

Capt. Ray Peavy, who heads up Los Angeles Police Department's murder division, admits there are far fewer clues at crime scenes these days--and he blames the TV series for making better killers out of the general public.

Peavy states murderers are using bleach to destroy evidence, they're covering car seats with blankets to cut the risk of blood stains, and they're removing bullet shell casings from murder scenes--all tips, he claims, killers have picked up from the show.

He says, "They're actually educating potential killers. Sometimes I believe it may even encourage them when they see how simple it is to get away with it on television."
