The Voice

Fret no further about the uncertainty of a future with multiple nights a week spent in the company of Carson Daly. The Voice has been renewed for fourth and fifth cycles on NBC. Deadline reports the news, adding that Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will be bowing out for the upcoming fourth installment of the musical series. Taking their spots, and joining standing judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the show, will be mononyms Shakira and Usher.

It was already expected for The Voice to earn a fourth season, scheduled for spring of 2013. But the news of a fifth, set for next fall, is more of a surprise. Aguilera and Green are expected to return to the program for the fifth cycle.

Levine expands his television terrain this season with a role on the FX series American Horror Story, which begins October 17. Pretty soon he's gonna be as ubiquitous as, well, The Voice
