TV: Things are going to get better -- next year

Television executives who have watched with dismay as advertisers cut back on spending this year have received a bit of cheer with a forecast by investment bankers Veronis Suhler that U.S. advertising will rise 6.9 percent in 2002. Ad spending is expected to fall some 1.1 percent this year, the report said.
