After a collective 84 years of occupying the ABC Network's soapiest time slots, All My Children and One Life to Live were given the boot from the airwaves in 2011 and 2012, respectively. But just like with so many of their own characters, we only thought the daytime dramas were dead. Some crafty writing tricks, and the boundless world of the Internet, have brought them back.
Mainstays of the genre since their series premieres in 1970 and 1968, All My Children and One Life to Live announced plans to revive with new episodes via online media, such as Hulu and iTunes. Now, both programs have revealed their planned Internet debut date: Monday, Apr. 29.
All My Children and One Life to Live will kick off new 30-minute episodes online beginning at the end of April, and continuing until the dramatic, perplexing tales of the Buchanan family and Pine Valley residents are finally ready to come to a close.
