Dancing With the Stars Season 16 Low Ratings

The Last Dance?: If last night's numbers are any indication, then folks are finally beginning to grow tired of Dancing With the Stars. The Season 16 premiere brought in the show's lowest spring debut numbers yet — 16.8 million viewers and a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating. That’s down 11 percent from last year’s premiere, but slightly up from their abysmal fall. [EW]

Bad News For Robb Stark: Good news for Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden could signal bad news for his on-screen counterpart Robb Stark. Madden was cast in the Discovery Channel’s first-ever scripted mini-series Klondike, which will focus on "six strangers and their collective fight for survival and wealth in a small, frontier town in the remote Klondike." Bates Motel Scares Up Record Ratings: The crew over at the Bates Motel received the opposite news as the DWTS crew — the debut of the dark drama hit an A&E ratings record, with 3 million viewers for its first airing. Before the night was through, a second airing brought it up to 4.6 million total viewers, with 2.4 mil in the 18-49 demo. [TVLine]

Christina Ricci out of Coma: NBC's comedy pilot Girlfriend in a Coma is down a star. Christina Ricci, who had signed on to play the titular woman who wakes up after 17 years to find she has a teenage daughter, has dropped out of the project. She reportedly pulled out after the first table read. [Deadline]

Steve Coogan has Doubt: British comedian Steve Coogan has signed on for his first major U.S. TV series. He'll play a charming, cocky cop-turned lawyer in the ABC legal drama pilot Doubt. Greg Grunberg plays his brother in the new series. [The Hollywood Reporter]
