Quvenzhane Wallis Was Offended by the MTV Movie Awards

Quvenzhané Wallis' ears are burning! The Beasts of the Southern Wild star was offended by the antics of Seth Rogen and Rebel Wilson at the MTV Movie Awards April 14.

"I am not a person that looks at that kind of stuff," Wallis told the New York Post backstage at the event. "So I would not like to see that." She seemed to be referring to a moment in the broadcast when Seth Rogen dropped trou to flaunt a gnarly tangle of fake pubic hair. That moment caused the nine-year-old to turn away in disgust and jump into her mom's arms. "They carried it a little too far."

Lest you wonder why Wallis was in attendance at the raunchy fete, she was nominated for Best Breakthrough Performance for her role in Beasts, just as she was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress. However, she lost the award to host Rebel Wilson, who apparently won over the MTV crowd with her turn as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect. To make matters worse, Wilson was also one of Wallis' tormenters at the event, at one point apparently revealing that the child's purse was full of empty liquor bottles. "Do you know what they call drinking at age 9 in Australia?" Wilson asked her. "A late start."
